Hello Class of 2017! I would like to personally extend an invitation to apply to the Asian Pacific Student Coalition's First Year Immersionprogram! APSC is a coalition of twenty different Asian-interest student organizations, seeking to represent the Asian Pacific Islander (API) voice to the university administration, to promote awareness of Asian issues on campus, and to create a close-knit community through the celebration of culture.
Our First Year Immersion program is designed to develop the next generation of API leaders on Penn's campus. Whether you are interested in cultural groups, pre-professional organizations, or Greek life, there is a place for you in our program! We will be teaching leadership skills, hosting API-based discussions, introducing students to our constituent groups, and hosting social events to develop enriching relationships. You will be interacting with your peers and some of the most prominent student leaders on Penn's campus. If you want to learn more about advocacy, event-planning, or student leadership, this is one of the best ways to get involved.
The commitment to this program spans the entirety of the academic year with much flexibility in schedule. FYI members will be expected to attend biweekly sessions and invited to occasional social events.
Applications will be due Friday, September 27th at 11:59 pm. You will be contacted by an APSC Executive Board member for follow-up.
The application can be found here.
Any questions, comments, or concerns can be directed towards Jeffrey Cho, Vice Chair of External Affairs, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you very much for your time. We hope that you will strongly consider this opportunity to join our program.
Best, APSC Board
